Customer Review: This Thing Cuts Fat Plywood So Well
I always bought cheap blades and didn't know what I was missing out until I bought this one. This high tech design dissipates excess heat produced by friction. Cutting very thick plywood used to be a struggle for me, but this blade made it a piece of cake! I now know that the heat caused by a bad blade can melt glues that are used to make the plywood and makes it harder to cut the plywood. No more smokes from the cutting wood for me! I guess one doesn't need a fancy circular saw. One just needs a very good blade!
Customer Review: Another winner from Freud
Great blade, totally transformed my Skil saw. I use this blade to cut sheets of oak plywood for projects and have always gotten a nice smooth cut.

Freud LU91M012 12-Inch 72 Tooth ATB Thin Kerf Sliding Miter Saw Blade with 1-Inch Arbor
Customer Review: Wonderful replacement for standard blade
I use this blade on a Dewalt 709 Compound Sliding Miter Saw. I purchased it based on reviews on other woodworking sites and while there were others rated higher, it was hard to justify the dramatic increased price of the Forest or even other Freud blade. I have had a Freud 10" combination blade in my tablesaw and have used a Freud 8" stack dado set for about 10 years and have had absolutely nothing but good experiences with both. This 12" cutoff blade is such a treat, especially after wearing out the original DeWalt blade on a deck, a complete refinish of a basement and installing hardwood flooring on one floor of a house. I thought about just getting the blade sharpened but there was almost nothing left to sharpen. The Freud blade is so quiet and cuts so smoothly that there have been times I've had to check to see if I really did shave a little off the board or missed completely. Heartily recommend this blade for CSMS users.

Customer Review: Finish cuts
I mostly make small boxes and jewelery boxes. With the 80 tooth Freud blade the miter and other joinery cuts I make are glue up ready and have no tearout. This is the best blade I have for fine joinery.
Customer Review: good for the right job
I gave it 4 stars because it is an O.K. blade. I bought it for cutting 3/4" oak plywood (table saw). I was happy with the results, but not impressed. It worked well with other types of wood. Would I buy again? Only if I had to, due to choices available at that time. Price should be $69.99 for what you get.

Freud manufactures some of the most innovative, technologically advanced woodworking tools and accessories in the world. To ensure that the highest quality products meet the toughest design standards, Freud owns and operates six manufacturing facilities in Western Europe. Freud is one of the few manufacturers of woodworking tools in the world that produces its own MicroGrain carbide with titanium, called TiCo -- a combination of titanium and cobalt. Freud develops different types of carbide for each application to maximize the cutting life and performance of the tool; and Freud also operates one of the most modern product development research centers in Europe. By overseeing the entire manufacturing process from start to finish, Freud guarantees some of the highest quality, most advanced products in the industry.
About Freud Saw Blades
A world leader in cutting tool technology, Freud has earned a reputation for quality woodworking tools and accessories. With several unique design features, Freud saw blades are among the longest lasting and best performing blades in the industry. Choose from a variety of blade designs, sizes and coatings to select the best blade to suit your project.
About this General Purpose Saw Blade
The Freud 10-inch 40-tooth hyper-finish fusion saw blade features laser-cut blades from high strength steel and a revamped body design that features anti-vibration slots to render the blade acoustically dead. The lack of resonance results in a blade that not only runs quieter, but also vibrates less. A new anti-vibration design virtually eliminates all vibration and produces the cleanest cuts possible, making the use of a stabilizer unnecessary. There's also a permanent non-stick coating that protects against corrosion, gumming, and "pitch" build-up. The blade's cutting edge was designed with tri-metal brazing for sharpness and durability. The brazing also helps to reduce unwanted kickback, making the blade safer and more efficient. The unit comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
Warranty
This blade is covered by Freud's limited lifetime warranty.
Customer Review: Glad I did it
This blade makes a good table saw a great table saw. It is stable, quiet (compared to everything I've used before), doesnt burn, and holds an edge. Glad I spent the money.
Customer Review: Silky smooth cuts, no burn marks.
I don't know what the guy is talking about with the burn marks, but I don't think it's the blade that's causing them. Everything I've cut so far has been smooth and clean ~ the cut so smooth it's almost shiney like it's been buffed. I guy who has a woodworking/industrial tools store sold me the blade, told me I'd be just as happy with it as the Forrest WWII and he sells WWII blades also (for a little less than twice the price). He knew I wanted a good value, but I would have gone ahead and bought the WWII if this one wasn't really good. He must be counting on my repeat business, otherwise he'd go out of business being that honest and not trying to push more expensive goods on customers. I have no idea why the price has gone up to a hundred bucks on Amazon? What's up with that? I got my for less than seventy WITH a free 5" stiffener.

Customer Review: does not cut straight!
I had high expectations when buying this blade. I bought it to install hardwood flooring and needed perfectly straight cross-cuts. I used this blade on a new Ridgid 12 inch compound miter saw. This blade cuts a scallop upon entering the wood for about a 1/8 of an inch then it cuts straight for the rest of the cut. The result is that when the wood is lined up against something straight there is a definite concave line in the middle where the wood should be touching the flat surface but isn't. It's maybe a 1/32 gap but a gap is a gap and when paying $60 for a high quality saw blade there shouldn't be any gaps. I triple checked my miter saw alignment and even completely removed the fence and reinstalled it to ensure that it was on proper and square. It was. I checked the blade against a square and found it to be flat. I tried changing the speed of my cuts. Cutting very slowly made the cuts worse, leaving ridges throughout the cut. Cutting faster didn't make a difference. I took this diablo blade off and put on the OEM Ridgid 60 tooth blade that came with the saw, checked for square and made a few cuts. The result: perfectly straight cuts. My conclusion is that the diablo blade deflects upon initial contact with the wood but rights itself after sufficient penetration. I must note that I used the blade to cut Madrone which is an extremely hard and dense wood. Harder than Maple and Red Oak. I don't know if this blade would have the same cutting problems on a softer wood but according to the manufacturer this blade is suitable for hardwood flooring.
Customer Review: Burn Baby Burn
Using this saw on my 12" Delta twin Laser for my rehab business, I have been dissapointed by it's tendancy to burn and/or its durability. While it is certainly possible that I or one of my crew cut something we shouldn't have this blade hasn't lasted as long as the two previous blades on my saw. Now when I try and cut anything wider than a 2x4 I get smoke, and If I am using the full crosscut capability we get so much that I need to open the windows. As I ususally don't need a real fine cut, next time I will get something more durable and with fewer teeth.

About Freud's Avanti Blades
Freuds Thin Kerf (TK) Series of blades provide precise, quality cuts for most every application. The advanced thin kerf design removes less material -- thereby reducing the strain on your equipment and increasing the life of your saw. The slim design requires less cutting power from both you and the saw, making it ideal for underpowered saws. A Silver I.C.E. coating on all Freud TK blades helps reduce friction, heat build-up and gumming, thus extending the life of the blade by as much as 50 percent.

About this Avanti Blade
The Freud 10-inch 50-tooth thin kerf combination saw blade features a unique-Tooth design suitable for multiple cutting and ripping tasks. Each set of 5 teeth is separated by a large gullet, which provides the chip removal space required while ripping -- and the close grouping of teeth within the set provides the smaller bite size required when crosscutting. For easy use and added precision, the blades also feature an anti-kickback design, and tri-metal brazing for impact resistance. The blade has expansion slots that are strategically placed to allow for blade-body expansion from centrifugal force, and thermal expansion during actual use. The slots are used to prevent air turbulence and eliminate vibration. This blade boasts a Silver I.C.E. coating resist corrosion and buildup, and officer twice as much heat resistance and life than conventional uncoated blades.
Applications
This thin kerf saw blade requires less cutting power from the user and the saw, allowing more control over the cut for safer operation. Use it on almost any material with almost any table saw.
Key Tech Specs:
- 5/8-inch arbor
- 1/4-inch minimum depth of cut
- 1-5/8-inch maximum depth of cut
- 10-inch blade, 50T
Warranty

Customer Review: Freud Avanti Saw Blades
These are excellent blades at great prices for the everyday enthusiast of wood and thing malleable. I recommend them for every job from plywood to fine hardwoods. The thin kerf marks a precise cut with out wiggle of some other blades. Highly recommend them for both value and usefulness
Customer Review: A Huge Difference!!!!
This blade has made a tremendous difference installed on my Delta TS200LS Shopmaster table saw. With the included blade, my saw was noisy, cuts where very rough with lots of tear-out. With this blade, there is NO vibration at all, and the sound of the blade is amazing!! You can hear it "whining" nicely! I ripped a piece of Hemlock Fir when I first installed the blade and it left an edge that didn't need to be ran through a jointer. No burns, No tear-out... Perfect Cut!!!

Customer Review: Frued lu74r010 saw blade
Xcellent blade, like it advertised, cut smooth and leave a shiny polished like. I would recommend this blade to any beginner woodworker like me....
Customer Review: Great blade
Freud makes great thin kerf blades and this one does not disappoint. The blade is super sharp and leaves edges in plywood smooth. Excellent quality for the price, and while still basically a disposable blade you won't be replacing it often. As with any thin-kerf blade, it is slightly more prone to bending if you are careless with it.

About this Miter Saw Blade
The Freud 10-Inch 60-Tooth sliding compound miter saw blade provides a superior finish cut with both slide and non-sliding compound miter saws. A 5-degree negative hook prevents the blade from being too aggressive and helps push the work piece down and towards the fence; and the Silver I.C.E. coating helps make the blade resistant to friction and heat buildup. This blade is compatible with the Hitachi C8FB, Makita LS1011, and radial-arm saws for reduced climbing while crosscutting softwood, hardwood, or moldings.
Applications
This is a fine finish blade for sliding miter and radial arm saws. Use it to crosscut softwood, hardwood, or moldings.

- 1/2-inch minimum depth of cut
- 2-3/4-inch maximum depth of cut

Customer Review: Another excellent Freud product
I purchased this blade for use with my 10 inch compound miter saw. Blade leaves a smooth end cut with little or no chip out (even when cross cutting that crap Home Depot trys to pass off as "hardwood plywood"). No vibration to speak of. Very pleased and I would buy this blade again if needed.
Customer Review: Cuts like butter
I've had a Freud ripping blade on my table saw for quite a while and have been impressed. So when I got tired of the raw cuts from my SCMS (that's Sliding Compound Mitre Saw) I bought the Freud LU91M010 60 tooth blade on and it cuts like butter. No tear out and glides across the board. I upgraded from some 40 tooth dewalt crosscut blade that was probably more suited for construction. (...)it is a pretty good deal compared to the forest. I didn't get the teflon version because every one complains that it doesn't do anything but put read paint on your wood.
