This blade produces a fine finish when crosscutting in exotic hardwoods, softwoods, and mouldings. The larger blades are ideal for miter box applications. Thin kerf blades remove less material than standard carbide blades, thus requiring less horsepower to produce equally good results. Freud P0740X Pro 7-1/4-Inch 40 Tooth ATB Thin Kerf Wet Lumber Cutting Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch and Diamond Knockout Arbor

7-1/4" x 40 Tooth Freud Pro finishing blade ATB
Customer Review: This Thing Cuts Fat Plywood So Well
I always bought cheap blades and didn't know what I was missing out until I bought this one. This high tech design dissipates excess heat produced by friction. Cutting very thick plywood used to be a struggle for me, but this blade made it a piece of cake! I now know that the heat caused by a bad blade can melt glues that are used to make the plywood and makes it harder to cut the plywood. No more smokes from the cutting wood for me! I guess one doesn't need a fancy circular saw. One just needs a very good blade!
Customer Review: Another winner from Freud
Great blade, totally transformed my Skil saw. I use this blade to cut sheets of oak plywood for projects and have always gotten a nice smooth cut.

Freud LU91M012 12-Inch 72 Tooth ATB Thin Kerf Sliding Miter Saw Blade with 1-Inch Arbor

Industrial Thin Kerf Sliding Compound Miter Saw Blade ATB 12" X 72t 1"arbor Negative Hook Angle. Great for use on Radial Arm Saws.
Customer Review: Wonderful replacement for standard blade
I use this blade on a Dewalt 709 Compound Sliding Miter Saw. I purchased it based on reviews on other woodworking sites and while there were others rated higher, it was hard to justify the dramatic increased price of the Forest or even other Freud blade. I have had a Freud 10" combination blade in my tablesaw and have used a Freud 8" stack dado set for about 10 years and have had absolutely nothing but good experiences with both. This 12" cutoff blade is such a treat, especially after wearing out the original DeWalt blade on a deck, a complete refinish of a basement and installing hardwood flooring on one floor of a house. I thought about just getting the blade sharpened but there was almost nothing left to sharpen. The Freud blade is so quiet and cuts so smoothly that there have been times I've had to check to see if I really did shave a little off the board or missed completely. Heartily recommend this blade for CSMS users.

Freud LU85R010 10-Inch 80 Tooth ATB Ultimate Cut-Off Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor and PermaShield Coating

Are good blades worth the extra expense? Freud's done some impressive engineering and has come up with features that make these blades today's popular choice for woodworkers. The story on Freud blades is that the micrograin carbide/titanium tips stay sharp longer; the laser-cut body helps keep the hard steel blade flat and true; tri-metal brazing prevents cracks and failed joints; and the antikickback design ensures safer operation. While we may not understand the physics of these features, we do know these blades cut great and run quiet and chatter-free. They're Teflon-coated to reduce friction and heat buildup and to protect against rust, corrosion, and resin buildup. It's easy to imagine coaxing better performance and quality work out of older or underpowered saws with these Freud blades. This 10-inch, 80-tooth blade is designed to make sharp, thin kerf cuts on hard and soft woods. --Tim Block
Customer Review: Finish cuts
I mostly make small boxes and jewelery boxes. With the 80 tooth Freud blade the miter and other joinery cuts I make are glue up ready and have no tearout. This is the best blade I have for fine joinery.
Customer Review: good for the right job
I gave it 4 stars because it is an O.K. blade. I bought it for cutting 3/4" oak plywood (table saw). I was happy with the results, but not impressed. It worked well with other types of wood. Would I buy again? Only if I had to, due to choices available at that time. Price should be $69.99 for what you get.

Forrest WW14307145 Woodworker II 14-Inch 30 Tooth 1-Inch Arbor 9/64-Inch Kerf Circular Saw Blade

Forrest's blades offer a superior cut that leaves a rip-cut saw edge that is as smooth as if it had been sanded, and a cross-cut edge that is almost mark-free. The blades run very quietly, and backside tearout in plywood is negligible. Each blade is virtually hand-made. The plate is hand-tensioned (up to 15 minutes per blade), superior C-4 carbide teeth are hand-brazed to the plate, and the blade is straightened and restraightened multiple times throughout the process. Think of a Forrest blade as a tool in your shop, not an accessory. Forrest stands behind it's blades by offering a sharpening service that bring blades back to the exact tolerances offered in a new blade. And this same exacting service is available for other manufacturer's blades as well, so they should come back better than new. Forrest Woodworker 2 Saw Blade For Table Saws. With this one all purpose blade you can RIP & CROSSCUT 1" to 2" hardwood and softwood resulting in a smooth as sanded surface. Ply-veneers of oak and birch will crosscut with NO BOTTOM SPLINTER at moderate feed rates. Customized Forrest Woodworker 2 For Table Saws. For the advanced table saw operator. Ideal for joinery and special uses. Specially engineered clearances on the carbide teeth can totally eliminate side scoring. The result...no planing/jointing or sanding. In many cases a glue-line cut can be obtained, depending on the accuracy of the saw machine.
